Getting started with GCash is fast and straightforward. Step 1: Download the GCash App
Visit the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) and search for "GCash". Download and install the official app from Globe Fintech Innovations, Inc. The app is free and available to all Philippine network SIM users including Globe, TM, Smart, TNT, SUN, and DITO.
Step 2: Enter Your Mobile Number
Open the GCash app and enter your registered Philippine mobile number. Tap Next to proceed. A 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your number via SMS. Enter the OTP and tap Submit.
Step 3: Select New Account
Choose New Account from the options. Fill in all required personal details accurately – your full name, date of birth, and other information as they appear on your government-issued ID. Accuracy is essential as this information is used for identity verification.
Step 4: Set Your MPIN
Create a 4-digit Mobile PIN (MPIN). This is your security code for all GCash transactions. Choose a number that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess. Avoid sequential numbers like 1234.
Step 5: Confirm and Log In
Review your details, tap Confirm, and then Go to Login. Your GCash account is now active with a Basic Profile, giving you access to essential features with standard wallet limits.
